Title: Visual Size Perception and Texture

Researcher: Jett Priewe (University of Minnesota, Computational Vision Lab)

Purpose: This study investigates how the human visual system calculates the physical size of objects based on their internal texture. We are measuring how different spatial frequencies (stripe patterns) and borders change our perception of scale.

What You’ll Do: On each trial, you will see two striped circular patches appear on the screen. Look carefully at both, and decide which patch appears larger overall.

You will use the [ Left Arrow ] and [ Right Arrow ] keys to indicate your choice. Go with your immediate gut reaction. The experiment consists of several short blocks and will take roughly 5-10 minutes.

Confidentiality: Data is linked only to your Prolific ID. No names are collected.
